    I never actually thought about selling text message advertising to local businesses. From what I gather, it does seem like a little job niche that a stay-at-home mom could really get into if they were interested enough. Learning the basics of why text message marketing is useful is pretty simple in and of itself, though of course actually landing a sale and being able to effectively implement something like this would, indeed, be a bit more difficult. While some larger local businesses could definitely benefit, I am not sure that every business would be down because most of the shoppers may not be technologically savvy. For example, at a produce market you are not likely going to find a bunch of young people who are fully equipped with the latest cell phones and who are technologically savvy. I don’t think that would the the best place to implement this. On the other hand, a place like a bowling alley could definitely benefit if they play their cards right. They could send out messages offering special discounts to those people who receive the messages. The benefit to a company like that would be astounding, especially considering bowling alleys have taken a big hit of late. Very interesting stuff none the less!
